Made from premium materials with master craftsmanship
This Nakiri or Vegetable Cutter makes a great gift for anyone who likes to cook or wants something stylish for their kitchen. This XINZOU knife is made from a combination of two different steels which bring different benefits.
The blade features a 14Cr14MoVNb Powder Steel as the core of the blade. This core acts as the primary cutting edge and the powder steel used has a high carbon content in addition to vanadium and niobium. These combine to form a steel that is very hard, which helps form better edges, in addition to being rust and wear resistant.
The 14Cr14MoVNb Steel core is vacuum treated to a hardness of 62-64 HRC on the Rockwell scale. Any higher than this and the knife would be too brittle, which would result in the edge breaking or snapping during use.
For additional rust resistance, the core is sandwiched between two pieces of SUS410 Stainless Steel. Each side has been folded repeatedly to create the Damascus pattern and 36-layers of steel. These layers help create strength in the blade while producing a beautiful design on the sides of the blade.
The areas closest to your hands have been rounded off for a better experience. Without these sharp corners you will be able to use the blades comfortably for long periods. The handle is also designed for a more natural grip to avoid discomfort.
Olive wood handle
The handle material is made from Olive Wood and features a flower design made from copper rivets. The fine grain of the wood and the simple design of the flower offset the design of the Damascus blade.
This blade is best used for cutting soft materials. Using them to cut bone or other hard substances can damage the blade.
Dimensions and parameters of the Nakiri knife
The 7 inch cleaver style blade, usually referred to as a Nakiri, allows you to process large sets of vegetables and is primarily used for dicing, chopping, and slicing. This design is great for those who have a lot of salads or similar dishes to make.
Knife gift wrapping
After using this knife, be sure to hand wash and dry them, especially after using them with acidic foods like lemons or tomatoes. This will help keep the knife looking good and will help prevent corrosion.
