This steel balances the use of Carbon and Chromium with the rarer earth metals Molybdenum, Cobalt, Vanadium, and Manganese for enhanced durability and sharpness.
Expensive Vacuum Deep-cooling Heat Treatment is used to harden the blade to 60 ± 1 on the Rockwell scale. This hardness range is the sweet spot of Damascus kitchen knives, which makes it harder, sharper, and more durable. It has a good balance with a golden angle of 15° Because of its ultra-sharp double edge it is suitable for both left and right hands.
66 layers Damascus Steel: The outer steel sections are made up of 33-layers each of 316/316L Stainless Damascus Steel. This makes dealing with corrosive fruits or vegetables easier than with a pure carbon steel blade. The Tsuchime Raindrop Damascus pattern adds an additional aesthetic layer to each knife blade.
